Datta Power Infra Private Limited (Datta Infra), a rapidly growing company in India’s infrastructure and renewable energy sectors, has appointed Gnanajothi Anandan as its new Head – Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC). With over two decades of experience in the renewable energy sector, Mr. Anandan joins the leadership team to spearhead Datta Infra’s major solar and wind EPC projects, significantly enhancing its project execution capabilities during a period of rapid expansion.
As Head of EPC, Mr. Anandan will oversee critical functions across wind and solar projects, including engineering cost optimization, construction productivity, contract finalization, and other related functions to manage the project and site execution effectively. His mandate emphasizes ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, while proactively mitigating potential challenges and fostering high-performance teams for seamless project delivery.

Before joining Datta Infra, Mr. Anandan was associated with wind OEMs and developers including Sembcorp, Enel, and Marubeni, where he developed and executed major EPC projects. He has executed wind and solar projects in both package and full turnkey EPC modes across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra, working with nodal agencies such as SECI, SJVN, and NTPC. He also possesses strong supplier management skills and deep industry knowledge across various technologies of solar and wind sectors.
Mr. Anandan holds prestigious professional certifications, PMP (Project Management Professional), PgMP (Program Management Professional), and CCMAP-WCC (Advanced Commercial and Contracting) from world’s biggest professional community based in the USA which helps in building the benchmarks projects across India and overseas. In his leisure time, he enjoys playing golf and exploring new destinations.
