As India approaches Union Budget 2026, this is a critical opportunity to move from drone pilots to drone-led national infrastructure, especially in logistics and essential deliveries. Drones have proven their ability to improve efficiency across e-commerce, healthcare, disaster response, and remote connectivity, as seen in global markets like the US, China, Australia, and Rwanda.
We expect clear and predictable regulations, particularly for BVLOS operations. A single-window digital clearance system integrating DGCA, MoCA, state authorities, and UTM providers can unlock commercial scale while ensuring safety. Support for local manufacturing, faster customs clearances, skilling, and national UTM and drone infrastructure can help shift drones from policy promise to economic backbone, positioning India as a global leader in drone-led logistics.
