Fluitron, a leading provider of compressor solutions for hydrogen and specialty gas applications, has successfully inaugurated two state-of-the-art facilities in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth strategy in India.

Kochi Facility Launch
On 15th January 2026, P. I. Sreevidya, IAS, Deputy Development Commissioner of Cochin SEZ, officially inaugurated Fluitron’s new facility located within the Special Economic Zone in Kakkanad, Kochi. The facility integrates office space for sales, application, and engineering teams with a specialized manufacturing area dedicated to assembling and testing bare compressors and packages for the export market.
The inauguration ceremony brought together Fluitron employees from across India, customers from Kerala, government officials, SEZ representatives, and members of the academic community.

Coimbatore Facility Launch
Six days later, on 21st January 2026, Fluitron President and Managing Director Thomas Joseph, accompanied by his wife Ms. Ana, inaugurated the company’s Coimbatore facility in K.G. Chavadi, situated on the southwestern outskirts of Coimbatore along the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border on Palakkad Main Road (NH-544).
This comprehensive facility houses office space for project and planning teams, a machining shop, assembly and testing areas for bare compressors, and fabrication capabilities for packaging larger hydrogen refueling systems targeted at the Indian market. The Coimbatore facility will work in tandem with the Kochi operations to enhance overall manufacturing capacity.
The event was attended by Fluitron employees across India, customers from Kerala and Tamil Nadu, government officials, vendors, and academia.

Vision and Strategic Direction
Addressing attendees at both inaugurations, Thomas Joseph, President and Managing Director of Fluitron, outlined the company’s vision for leveraging these new facilities to strengthen its position in the hydrogen and specialty gas markets both domestically and internationally. He emphasized Fluitron’s commitment to innovation, quality, and operational excellence.
At the Coimbatore event, Shaju S and E Jacob Kurian, Operation Directors and Motti Thomas, Global Sales Director, shared insights into the facility’s role in executing landmark projects. These include hydrogen refueling stations for India’s first hydrogen-powered train, completed last year, as well as ongoing projects for IIT Madras and Hyundai’s hydrogen stations.

Market Impact
With full-fledged manufacturing facilities for bare compressors and packages now operational in India, Fluitron aims to expand its customer base in the specialty gas market, a segment that has been challenging to penetrate due to competition from low-priced Chinese compressors. The new facilities position the company to offer competitive, locally manufactured solutions while maintaining international quality standards.
