Kabelschlepp India, a member of the Tsubaki Group, has strengthened its manufacturing capabilities with the installation of a state-of-the-art Vertical Machining Center (VMC) at its India facility.  This equipment upgrade backed by advanced robotic systems will enable next level precision manufacturing.
In this integrated setup, an industrial robot seamlessly works alongside the VMC—picking raw components, accurately placing them into fixtures, and removing finished parts after machining. Overall, robotic loading and unloading transforms conventional machining into a smarter, more efficient manufacturing process.
The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of Henning Preis, President & CEO, Kabelschlepp Group and Jörg Schulz, Vice President, Production Kabelschlepp Group alongside Srinivas P Kamisetty, Managing Director, Kabelschlepp India, underscoring the strategic importance of the Indian market in the company’s global growth plan.
The newly installed VMC is a high-precision CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine designed for advanced milling, drilling, tapping, and multi-axis machining operations. Equipped with a vertical spindle orientation, automatic tool changer, and an intelligent CNC control system; the machine enhances accuracy, repeatability, and operational efficiency. Increasing overall productivity by 30% and reducing setup and cycle times by 50% thereby doubling productivity.

Attempted towards Driving Manufacturing Excellence, the addition of the VMC is expected to:
Increase production output through continuous operation and improve dimensional consistency and maintain tight tolerances.
Reduce manual handling, related operator fatigue and errors while minimizing material wastage, rejection rates and workplace safety.
Enable multi-operation machining in a single setup with improved process consistency and accuracy.
