Pelf Infotech, in collaboration with Artec 3D, announced the India debut of Artec Jet, an advanced site-scale SLAM-based LiDAR reality capture platform engineered for rapid mapping of large industrial, engineering and infrastructure environments.
The India introduction of Artec Jet comes at a time when industries across manufacturing, engineering, infrastructure, utilities and industrial automation ecosystems are accelerating investments in Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, digital twins, industrial AI, predictive maintenance and next-generation operational intelligence systems.
The global industrial spatial intelligence market is witnessing rapid expansion, driven by increasing adoption of industrial automation, engineering digitization, infrastructure modernization and AI-enabled industrial workflows. The mobile mapping industry, valued at approximately US$ 31.8 billion in 2023, is projected to approach US$ 90 billion by 2030, while the global digital twin market is forecast to expand from approximately US$ 35.8 billion in 2025 to well over US$ 300 billion during the early 2030s.
Built on Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) technology, Artec Jet enables real-time mapping while simultaneously tracking its position without reliance on fixed targets or external GPS infrastructure. This “Beyond GPS” capability enables efficient deployment across underground mines, industrial plants, tunnels, utilities infrastructure and structurally complex operational environments where conventional surveying systems often face operational limitations.
The platform supports high-speed spatial data acquisition while in motion, significantly reducing scanning time compared to traditional static scanning workflows. Deployment flexibility includes backpack-mounted mobile workflows, drone-assisted aerial mapping operations, vehicle-mounted scanning systems and autonomous robotic inspection platforms operating across hazardous and difficult-to-access industrial environments.
Potential deployment areas include engineering documentation, industrial inspection, plant digitization, utilities mapping, metro rail projects, infrastructure modernization, predictive maintenance workflows, industrial asset intelligence, hazardous environment analysis and large-scale operational mapping applications.
A major differentiator of Artec Jet lies in its integration within the broader Artec ecosystem. Organizations can combine site-scale data captured by Artec Jet with high-resolution object-level scans generated through systems such as Artec Leo and Artec Eva, enabling unified, multi-resolution digital twin environments for engineering analysis, inspection workflows and total asset lifecycle management.
Speaking at the launch, Ajinkya Huddar, CEO & Managing Director, PELF Group of Companies, said: “Industrial digitization is increasingly dependent on accurate and scalable spatial intelligence. Artec Jet enables organizations to move toward integrated, site-scale reality capture workflows that support faster decision-making and large-scale digital infrastructure development.”
Andrew Varlamov, Sales Channel Director – EMEA Region, Artec 3D, said: “The industry is moving toward continuously updated digital environments where real-time spatial intelligence becomes foundational to industrial operations. India is among the fastest-growing markets for industrial digitization, and we are pleased to collaborate with Pelf Infotech to introduce Artec Jet to Indian enterprises.”
Denis Baev, Customer Experience Manager, Artec 3D, added: “Industrial enterprises are increasingly seeking interoperable digital environments where spatial data becomes part of continuous operational intelligence rather than isolated documentation workflows.”
The platform was unveiled at a technology event held in Pune in the presence of Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Medha Kulkarni and cultural researcher & Temple and Murti Shastra expert Shefali Vaidya, along with industry leaders, engineers and geospatial technology professionals.
