“We’re very excited to further expand and consolidate our network in Bangalore with our single largest standalone facility in the city to date! Rising urban demand and consumption is driving the need for more agile and resilient cold supply chains. This facility enables us to double down on capacity to cater to emerging demand across the region. It also strengthens our ability to seamlessly manage complex systems while delivering faster, more reliable, and scalable services.” Sameer Varma, Executive Director, ColdStar Logistics
ColdStar Logistics has set up its largest facility in Bangalore to cater to growing demand from the region. The new hub will cater to clients in the FMCG, confectionery, dairy, and processed foods categories in the region.
Located in Hoskote, the 1,75,000 sq. ft. the warehouse has a daily processing capacity of 3,00,000 units and offers multiple temperature zones, including Ambient, Tropical (+15 to +25°C), Chiller (+2 to +8 °C) and Frozen (-20°C). ColdStar currently operates three other warehousing hubs in the city and further consolidates its distribution footprint in Southern India with this new facility.
India’s logistics market is projected to grow exponentially, reflecting the pace at which this demand is building. This expansion comes as temperature-controlled logistics sees a steady uptick across urban India, driven by the growth of organized retail, e-commerce, and higher consumption of perishable and processed foods. In cities like Bangalore, this demand is putting visible pressure on existing infrastructure, especially across ambient, chilled, and frozen segments. The need now goes beyond just adding capacity and keeping supply chains responsive to changing consumption patterns.
