PSA India hosted an exclusive customer engagement and networking session in New Delhi, India, on 15th May 2026 bringing together more than 150 trade stakeholders, shippers, logistics partners, and industry decision-makers to showcase the capabilities of PSA Mumbai and its integration with the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC). Present at the event were also PSA International Regional CEO Middle East South Asia, Africa & Türkiye (MESAAT) Vincent Ng, PSA International Group Head of Commercial and Business Development Ong Seow Leong and PSA representatives from the region and across PSA’s business units in India.
The session focused on strengthening engagement with customers and trade partners from across North India and highlighted how PSA Mumbai’s integrated port and rail infrastructure can support faster, more efficient, and reliable cargo movement for businesses across key industrial and manufacturing sectors.

A key highlight of the session was PSA Mumbai’s direct integration with the WDFC. PSA Mumbai is the only terminal at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) capable of handling 360-TEU double-stack container trains across six rail lines, strengthening cargo connectivity between North India and global trade markets. The terminal is connected to more than 63 Inland Container Depots (ICDs) across the country and has a rail handling capacity of up to 1.5 million TEUs annually.
The integration with the Western DFC is expected to improve rail efficiency, reduce cargo transit timelines between Delhi and Mumbai, and provide exporters and importers with greater supply chain reliability and cost efficiencies. Businesses across North India are expected to benefit from improved multimodal connectivity, enhanced rail-linked cargo movement, and better access to international markets.
Building Stronger Rail-Linked Supply Chain Ecosystems
On 15th May 2026 prior to the customer engagement event, PSA Mumbai and Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate strategically on the rail-based movement of cargo. Present at the signing held at CONCOR were PSA International Regional CEO MESAAT Vincent Ng and CONCOR Chairman & Managing Director Sanjay Swarup, along with senior officials from CONCOR and PSA.
The MOU aims to leverage the infrastructure and operational strengths of both organizations to enhance seamless connectivity between PSA Mumbai and CONCOR’s market-leading network of more than 68 ICDs and domestic terminals across India.
Key objectives of the collaboration between the two parties include facilitating movement of domestic, cabotage, customs cleared containers through rail-based services and operating scheduled container train services between PSA Mumbai and CONCOR terminals, subject to operational feasibility and regulatory approvals. The arrangement is expected to strengthen multimodal logistics connectivity and support efficient cargo movement between ports and hinterland locations across India reducing road congestion, improving turnaround time, and ensuring cost-efficient and greener cargo movements.
