Hope It Builds Further Momentum

Continued policy support for initiatives such as the PLI schemes, the National Manufacturing Mission, and improved access to credit for MSMEs will be critical to sustaining India’s manufacturing competitiveness.

“Equally important will be measures that enable India to emerge as a globally trusted modern manufacturing hub—through deeper supply chain integration, improved logistics and infrastructure and the encouragement of technology-enabled as well as sustainably responsible manufacturing.” Anil G. As we look ahead to the Union Budget 2026–27, we hope it builds further momentum towards the vision of Viksit Bharat by strengthening the most important engine of growth – manufacturing. Continued policy support for initiatives such as the PLI schemes, the National Manufacturing Mission, and improved access to credit for MSMEs will be critical to sustaining India’s manufacturing competitiveness.
Equally important will be measures that enable India to emerge as a globally trusted modern manufacturing hub—through deeper supply chain integration, improved logistics and infrastructure and the encouragement of technology-enabled as well as sustainably responsible manufacturing. Policies that support adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies and ensure skill development at scale will help enhance productivity and resilience across the value chain.
Finally, and most importantly, a growth-oriented budget must also stimulate domestic demand. Simplified taxation structures and easier access to credit can play a meaningful role in creating a virtuous cycle of increased consumption, capacity utilization, investment, and employment – we, as a nation, must benefit from the effect of a strong ‘manufacturing multiplier’.
