Ministry of Textiles and ICRIER Sign MoU for Evidence-Based Policy Research in the Textile & Apparel Sector

The partnership underscores the Government’s commitment to formulating data-driven and analytically robust textile sector policies.

“This partnership aims to leverage ICRIER’s technical expertise to provide research support, textile data strengthening, data-driven analysis for policy formulation within India’s Textile & Apparel (T&A) sector, which remains a vital contributor to the nation’s manufacturing output, exports, and employment.”

The Ministry of Textiles (MoT), Government of India, and the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER) has formally entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during a signing ceremony held at GPOA 3, Netaji Nagar, New Delhi. The agreement was signed by Akhilesh Kumar, Deputy Director General (MoT), and Dr. Shekhar Aiyar, Director & Chief Executive (ICRIER).
