CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd. (CG) has announced the rollout of the first power transformer from its new greenfield facility at Sehore, Madhya Pradesh. Spread over 50 acres, this facility is India’s largest single-location power transformer manufacturing facility built for 220 kV to 1200 kV class power transformers with a capacity to rollout 35 power transformers every month. Gracing the occasion of the first transformer rollout was the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav.

A facility such as this one, strengthens India’s capability in high-voltage transmission equipment and supports our transition from a power-deficit to a power-sufficient nation. Additionally, industrial investment of this nature in Madhya Pradesh generates opportunity for the local youth and uplifts communities. This facility from CG will create over 2000 direct and indirect employment in Sehore. Our government will continue to ensure that every investment proposal signed in Madhya Pradesh becomes a working factory on the ground and continues to benefit the people of Madhya Pradesh.”
