Leading industrial screwdriving technology company DEPRAG SCHULZ GMBH u. CO. KG from Germany has established DEPRAG India Pvt. Ltd., creating a direct presence after serving the market for more than 21 years through Leaptech Corporation. The company plans to invest ₹8 crore to ₹10 crore in India and begin assembling selected systems locally within four to six months.
DEPRAG India has set a five-year revenue target of double digit million Euro revenue and is targeting 25 percent annual growth in its Indian business. The subsidiary will bring engineering, application development and customer support closer to manufacturers while building local assembly capabilities.
The investment will support local assembly, engineering and customer service. DEPRAG India will initially focus on industrial screwdriving and fastening systems, component-feeding equipment, assembly automation and machines designed for specific production lines. Its portfolio includes air motors, pneumatic tools and software used in industrial assembly.
DEPRAG’s Indian customer and installation base stretches over automotive, electronics, electric mobility and other industrial sectors where the accuracy and consistency of every assembly step can affect the quality of the finished product.

The launch comes as India increases domestic production through Make in India, Production Linked Incentive schemes and investments in electronics, automobiles and electric mobility. Larger production volumes are increasing the need for assembly systems that can deliver the same result repeatedly, record each critical production step and reduce errors that lead to delays or rework.

The companies expect local assembly to shorten delivery times for selected systems and make it easier to customise machines for Indian customers. The first phase will focus on developing the local team, strengthening engineering support and identifying the systems that can be assembled in India within the four-to-six-month timeline.
DEPRAG traces its industrial roots to 1801 and has operated as a family-owned entity since 1931, giving it more than 90 years of specialized machine-building experience. Its technologies are used in production where accurate fastening, repeatable quality and clear production records are essential.
The Indian subsidiary will give DEPRAG a base to expand its work with domestic manufacturers while progressively increasing local engineering and assembly. For Leaptech, the new structure will deepen a two-decade partnership and widen the range of systems that can be developed and supported locally.
