Sandvik Coromant Successfully Organizes ‘Shaping the Future of Manufacturing Together’ Event in Pune

Metal cutting expert Sandvik Coromant has brought together customers, technology partners and manufacturing leaders at its Coromant Center in Pune, Maharashtra, for an exclusive event focused on the future of smart and sustainable manufacturing. Shaping the Future of Manufacturing Together showcased advanced machining technologies, digital manufacturing solutions and sustainability initiatives through live demonstrations, technical knowledge sharing and collaborative discussion.
The event, which welcomed over 50 customers, offered attendees an immersive experience into Sandvik Coromant’s approach to innovation, productivity and sustainability across the manufacturing value chain. Participants were invited to engage directly with the company’s experts while gaining insight into the latest machining technologies and manufacturing strategies.
The event began with guided visits to the inserts and Coromant Capto production areas, where customers experienced Sandvik Coromant’s advanced manufacturing processes firsthand. Following the plant visits, customers gathered at the Sandvik Coromant Center for live product and solution demonstrations. Sandvik Coromant presented several of its latest tooling innovations, including CoroMill® MR20, CoroMill® MS20, CoroDrill® DE10 and CoroTurn® Prime. The demonstrations showcased how these solutions support higher productivity, improved tool life and cost-efficient machining across a variety of industrial applications.
An important feature of the event was the collaborative showcase with technology partners Mastercam and Vericut. Together, the companies demonstrated integrated digital manufacturing solutions combining tooling, programming and verification technologies. The demonstrations illustrated how manufacturers can optimise machining processes, reduce downtime and improve operational reliability through connected manufacturing ecosystems.
Another highlight of the event addressed key industry priorities including sustainability and skills development. In particular, Sandvik Coromant highlighted its tungsten carbide recycling programme, which enables customers to recycle used carbide tools responsibly while supporting circular economy principles and reducing environmental impact.
